Dr. Zain Jivraj, born and raised in Calgary, AB, is the founder of Sunridge Eye Clinic, Market Mall Optometry and Specs in the City. She completed her Biological Sciences degree from the University of Calgary in 2005. She also completed a minor in Psychology.
Dr. Jivraj graduated with distinction as a doctor of optometry from the University of Waterloo, and has clinical experience at institutions such as The Eye Foundation of Utah and Eyes at Narangba in Australia. She focuses on preventive eye health and children’s eye care, and is dedicated to accessible eye health for families and seniors.
Dr. Jivraj has launched her own line of petite eyeglass frames, and has appeared as an industry expert on Global News. Dr. Jivraj believes in giving back to the community and volunteers eye services to homeless individuals in Calgary through Project Homeless and Gear Up events.
She also volunteers abroad, most recently in the Philippines. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
